How can NLP [Neuro-Linguistic Programming] help people who have learning difficulties?

NLP can certainly teach people with dyslexia, dyscalculia, dyspraxia, ADD, ADHD, Asperger’s, and memory learning difficulties how to use their existing visual skills to see clear and still [=not moving] words and numbers. People who are good at spelling, reading, writing, and mental arithmetic see still [not moving] words and numbers in their heads.

Here’s how I use NLP for learning difficulties:

Firstly I make people realize that they use their excellent visual skills daily when they visualize people, objects, places, activities, and situations. Then I find out how they see words / numbers. And I retrain their brains to see pictures of words and numbers clearly and still.

I teach people to see objects first. Example: see a cat. See the cat still [=not moving] clearly, not too far, not too near. Then I teach people to see words and numbers on their related objects as a single picture. Example: see the cat with the word cat written on the cat’s body. Then people read and spell the words forwards and backwards.

Now they see the words / numbers and spell / read them from seeing, not by sound or guessing whether it feels right. When people get the principle, we-practise together. And then they practice alone until the process becomes automatic. The last step is to let the related object go and see the word / number on a plain background as a single clear still picture. Example: as you see the cat with the word cat written on the cat’s body, tell the cat to slowly walk out of the picture and leave the word cat behind. All that will stay in the picture will be the word cat on a contrasting plain background.

I also teach clearing people’s personal energy field and grounding. These things also immensely help people get rid of learning difficulties!

The benefits are:

1. sharper visual skills double the memory and retention of spoken and written information
2. fast reliable spelling – no spellcheck necessary due to
3. seeing words as blocks, not as single letters, thus
4. reading faster and fluently
5. comprehending and remembering what you read, hence
6. clearer comprehension of lectures, descriptions, long conversations
7. improving visualizing numerical concepts, hence
8. better mathematical abilities
9. clearer orientation in unfamiliar territories
10. better navigation and orientation in the course of driving
11. smoother eye-hand coordination for sports, performing arts, daily tasks
12. higher self-esteem
13. sharper observational skills and attention to detail
